Legal Assistant – Fintech

We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join a fast-growing fintech company with an EMI licence in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting the legal team in various regulatory and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents related to EMI regulations and fintech operations.
• Supporting the compliance team in ensuring adherence to FCA regulations and other relevant legal frameworks.
• Conducting legal research and staying updated on regulatory developments affecting the electronic money and payments industry.
• Assisting with contract drafting, corporate governance, and internal legal policies.
• Liaising with external legal advisors, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate legal records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of UK financial regulations related to fintech, payments, and electronic money.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a legal assistant, lawyer, or in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
• Excellent legal research and document drafting skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English and Russian (both written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with FCA regulatory filings and requirements.
• Previous experience working in an EMI (Electronic Money Institution).
• Previous experience in a fintech company, PSP, or regulated financial institution.
• Understanding of GDPR and data protection laws in the UK.
