Head of Payments – Global Gambling Project

About the Company

Our client, a rapidly expanding gambling platform, is looking for a Head of Payments to lead its payment strategy and operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for building and optimizing payment infrastructure, ensuring seamless transactions, and driving payment efficiency on a global scale.

Role Overview

As the Head of Payments, you will oversee payment provider partnerships, transaction flows, and compliance to maximize conversion rates and reduce costs. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape the company’s payment strategy, working closely with internal teams to align payment operations with business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Payment Provider Management – Identify, negotiate, and onboard top-performing PSPs and alternative payment methods.
• Payment Flow Optimization – Monitor conversion rates, analyze transaction performance, and implement improvements to maximize efficiency.
• Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure all payment solutions comply with relevant regulations and business requirements.
• Strategic Growth – Develop and execute strategies to enhance acceptance rates, reduce processing costs, and improve user payment experience.
• Stakeholder Collaboration – Work with tech, risk, compliance, and finance teams to align payment solutions with broader company objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in payments or fintech, with a strong track record in global payment strategy.
• Proven leadership in managing payment teams and cross-functional projects.
• Deep understanding of payment processing, alternative payment methods, fraud prevention, and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to improving transaction performance.
• Fluent in English and Latvian, good level of Russian (spoken and written).
• Hybrid setup, based in Riga, Latvia.
