Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer with at least 3 years of experience to join our client’s team in Riga. This role requires expertise in Node.js, Express, and TypeScript, as well as experience working with REST APIs and relational databases. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building and optimizing scalable backend services that support financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize REST APIs to support seamless data exchange between frontend and backend services.
• Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to build robust fintech solutions.
• Implement best practices for performance optimization, security, and database management.
• Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code following industry standards.

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.
• Experience with REST API development and integration.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL database management.
• Ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and Russian

Location & Work Mode:

• Riga, Latvia
• Hybrid work model – office-based initially for the probation period, transitioning to a mix of office and remote work.
